Strengthen teams through shared creativity

Handmade ceramics, natural skincare and thoughtful gifts

Hi, I'm Michelle
For over twenty-five years, I worked with people around the world, helping individuals, leaders and organisations grow through learning, leadership and personal development.
Although I loved helping others reach their potential, I found myself increasingly drawn to something quieter.
Something slower.
Something more creative.
That journey led me to clay.
What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong passion, taking me to train with ceramic artists in Switzerland, Italy and here in Kent.
Working with clay reminded me of something the modern world often forgets—that creating with our hands has the power to calm our minds, reconnect us with the present and restore a sense of balance.
Nature's Goods was born from that simple belief.
Today, I bring together my background in Industrial Psychology, coaching, learning and leadership with the timeless craft of ceramics to create experiences that are thoughtful, welcoming and deeply human.
Whether you're joining a pottery session, a corporate wellbeing workshop or simply visiting the studio, my hope is that you'll leave feeling calmer, more connected and inspired to create.
Because I believe that beautiful things happen when we slow down.

Nestled at the foot of the beautiful North Downs within the peaceful surroundings of Birling Place Farm, Birling Nature’s Goods Pottery Studio at the Barn offers a welcoming creative retreat where people can slow down, reconnect, and discover the joy of working with clay.

Michelle, the heart behind Nature’s Goods, transitioned from corporate learning and industrial psychology to ceramics, blending creativity with mindfulness. Her journey began with small pottery projects, eventually expanding into a full-fledged studio and café, coaching & pottery workshops/ sessions.
With a deep love for all things natural, she launched her skincare line in 2018, focusing on pure, chemical-free formulations. In 2019 she was introduced to ceramics and in 2024, she embraced ceramics full-time, curating events and collaborating with various artists.
I recently had an absolutely wonderful experience with my daughter, having our first ever Pottery Lesson!!! It was such a warm, calming, friendly, and insightful activity, that we would both like to do again very soon. We had food and drink while we were there, all of which was very tasty (especially the hot chocolate and marshmellows). The service, and atmosphere was very welcoming, and personable (particularly important when you’re wanting to do something like this with friends and family). Highly recommend anyone and everyone to come and give the pottery a try… you’ll love it!!!

I had the absolute pleasure of coming here after I was purchased a pottery lesson with the wonderful Michelle. I had never experienced pottery making before so didn’t know what to expect. Michelle was an amazing teacher, she took her time to explain everything and show the techniques. It was so therapeutic and my mind was free for those two hours. Michelle was extremely friendly and had a very warm nature. I would 100% recommend it. I also had a hot chocolate whilst there which was delicious.
